Also available in a liquid with cherry flavour, called Edluar in addition to extended release spray known as Zolpimist. The versions that are brand-name of this medication are about 10 times higher than the generic counterpart. Zolpidem passes into the breast milk and is advised to stay away from breastfeeding women.

Zolpidem Tartrate Tablets

Each tablet contains 10 mg zolpidem tartrate. Other ingredients include microcrystalline cellulose, monohydrate of lactose, hypromellose, sodium starch glycollate, magnesium stearate as well as titanium dioxide (E171). For studies of adults who suffered from chronic insomnia the zolpidem was given as an all-night dose prior to bedtime.

Inform patients about the possibility that zolpidem could cause next-day psychomotor impairment that could result in impaired driving. It is recommended that patients be patient for at least 8 hours after they have taken AMBIEN to drive or engage in any other endeavor that requires mental alertness.

Zolpidem CR

Zolpidem is an extended-acting form of tartrate. It's used for treating insomnia. The brain is the main target helping you to fall into sleep and to stay asleep. The medication is part of an class of medications known as the hypnotics.

Advise patients that AMBIEN CR could cause a subsequent mental impairment even if it is taken just once a day and taken at night, which is why they should not drive or operate machinery throughout the day after taking it. Inform them that they should discuss any issues with the doctor.

There are limited published data regarding the use of this drug in pregnancy. Ambigen CR is not associated with miscarriage or birth defects. The data available is limited from birth registry, observational studies, and the case report. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take this medication.

Zolpimist

Sleep walking, driving automobiles or other unusual behaviors have been linked to Zolpimist. It should not be taken together with any other medications that can affect the brain. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor prior to taking any other medicine. Particularly, tell them that you have a medical condition such as depression as well as anxiety or psychosis. You should also avoid alcohol and other drugs that cause you to become drowsy.

Gastrointestinal system: Frequent: dyspepsia, hiccup, nausea, vomiting; Infrequent: anorexia, constipation, flatulence, gastritis, diarrhea, esophagitis; Rare: intestinal obstruction, rectal hemorrhage.
